2025 U S. Nationals Senior Pairs Short Program

Did I just watch an entire US Nationals Pairs Short Program Event that did not include a single fall?

I can't recall a single one... was there one in the early groups I'm forgetting? Mistakes, yes, but no falls!
I believe so..I was wondering the same and remembering a fall, but it may have been in junior dance.

Now for the a nitpick and the challenge

I remember when the thing to do was to get your head so low to the ice that the girls got frost on their hair doing the back outside death spiral. Now I've heard that is considered a deduction these days, but girls can you try for it in practice. I used to wait for Tai Babilonia or Barbara Underhill to get that frosted look.

Unsure if related (lol), but - yesterday after watching some bits from Ice Dance practice, I had an idea about challenge for teams, I.e. to select a program from the past (like something characteristic for its tech intricacy etc.) and get them to perform it ;)
I wonder what past pairs program could be posed as a challenge to current pairs...:)

I haven't reviewed the protocols, and I'm just going off memory of the tech score box... but I think only the Top 3 teams managed a L4 Death Spiral. I think - again going from memory - that everyone else was L2.

It seems there is some room to grow with this element for most of the field.

And Natalia Mishkutenok who I am delighted to see in the Kiss & Cry (sorry a bit off topic).
