I love their free dance - it is much more intricate and complex.
I agree with Chris in that it looks too easy and junior for this event.

Although the narrower white areas between the black stripes on Katarina's dress was making my eyes go screwy, I think they looked better than the wider white areas on Gina's dress, which I had no bother looking at.

Seriously, even when they are good the utter disconnect of many of these teams between music, skating style and costume makes a good argument for ISU dumping the whole 'theme' idea. If the skaters are gonna ignore it, what's the point?

I have to watch Liam in this dance as he gets the impression just right. Carolane just looks like she is getting the steps correct like a good student, but has no soul. Whoever picked this music did her a disservice. She just looks uncomfortable and makes me wish for the Browns.

I'm glad you said this, I got the feeling she really doesn't like her own music! He is I think wearing velour, which should get him extra points (or maybe a deduction, I can't decide).

Not sure about Carolane's top and skirt. Too Dyno-Rod for me.

Loved the James Brown songs that started and ended the programme. But I didn't like the song in the middle. Why did they not stick with James Brown for the whole programme?

On the whole, I enjoyed that.

They go into 6th position.

They seem disappointed.

But they go into the last qualifying spot. And a good job too, because they are actually tied with the partnership in front of them. Imagine if one had got through and the other didn't!
