this techno dance suits Zhenya and Geoffrey do well
The music sounded more ... like ebm/electro-industrial mixed with classical which the artist apparently is doing (I've not listened to it on my own). But I doubled check on rateyourmusic site, I found the artist and yes - EBM is mentioned among the styles of BFRND, my familiarity with the style helped me.
Electro-industrial - Wikipedia
The song I'm listening to right now belongs to this genre and shares a lot of sonic qualities with what Lopareva/Brissaud skated to made by BFRND and I can imagine a figure skating program with it too*. Unlike in the case of techno the songs usually feature vocals (and lyrics), but I can get why some might call it techno haha but it actually can sound so drastically different. Decoded Feedback formed in Italy in early 90s but then apparently members of the band moved to Toronto, Canada. And ''ebm'' is like a less complex, generally more melodic & danceable type of electro-industrial with many off-shoots or quite loosely defined varieties that due to my obsession about the style that began last year I know quite well like dark electro, old-school ebm, aggrotech, futurepop ... some people call of it ''electro''

*there are many ebm songs that are possibly way too harsh or have offensive lyrics so those rather do not belong to this category
