2025 World Figure Skating Championships Rhythm Dance

I did think Piper and Paul were missing a little sparkle today, actually. I thought some of their arm and upper body positions were a titch less sharp than usual, for example. Whereas I thought that was Madi and Evan‘s best performance of that RD this season. Their speed and ice coverage seemed better than usual, though that is hard to judge on tv, of course.

But the dance I enjoyed most and will watch over and over was Caroline and Michael's. 🥰🥰

I can feel the weight of the haters every time my team skates and want to cry even before they skate.
I don't think I can watch dance here anymore with you folks if that is how I feel after.
I will not be joining you for the free dance. I'll watch by myself in peace and quiet.
Aww I'm sorry :( I'm a big fan of Evan and Madi! I really enjoy their programs.

I'm just really sad for Charlene and Marco, I thought they looked great out there and now they might not even make the podium and getting a Level 1 for the Pattern must be so embarrassing for them and seems cruel.

Anyway as I rewatch the stream was anyone doing the Chris H Bingo? I think he's used half of his favourite phrases already!

Dutch judge had Lopareva/Brissaud 12th
Italian judge had Mrazek 7th
Canadian judge had Taschlers down into 20th
Italian judge had Davis/Smolkin into 21th
Estonian judge had Demougeut/Le Mercie 9th and Lim/Quan 9th
Korean judge had Fabbri/Ayer 26th
Canadian judge had Yoshida/Morita 14th.

You did see that Piper and Paul also got an element over 6 points?
Of course I did, I just stated that I didn't know the coreo sequence could be more than +5.5 added to the level 1 that's all!

This is the reason most of the time I don't like to post; people just interpret what you say their own way ( also English is my second language so... I might not say it the way you like it)

OK...so the Tech Panel is saying that Charlene and Marco's Pattern step deserved the same level as the first team on the ice today from Azerbijan. Like no offence to Ritter and Brykalov, but come on? Are the Tech Panel actual serious?!

Can you object to a Tech Panels levels like in Gymnastics? Because I'd slap $200 on the judge's table in a second for a review. (Not a bribe, you have to pay for the review, you get it back if the panel agrees they were wrong).

No one can convince me the fix was not in to lowball Piper and Paul. 5th, really?, with a clean dance? That judge should never get to judge again!

Devastated for Turkkila/Versluis :( at least we get to see the tango, but the cost was (almost) too high :console: Well, they have their work cut out for them for the FD.

This was first time I saw Chock/Bates RD and...well, it was technically awesome and well performed. But don't go around telling it's some compositional masterpiece. Kudos to the pair they managed to sell it to me, because from anyone else I would not have bought it.

Disco Brits doing great! ...but at the Euros, their FD looked obsolete among other artistically more ambitious and interesting programs. Is it going to be different here? I think they'll need others flop to medal.

Chock and Bates oozed with sophistication, and they were so on today, weren’t they. Fabulous lifts.

I wish speed mattered more in ice dance- with the top two noticeably slower than their competitors.

I really enjoyed: Lajoie & Lagha (CAN), Carreira & Ponomarenko (USA), Green & Parsons (USA) and Fear & Gibson (GBR).

OMG I thought TURKKILA & VERSLUIS (FIN) didn’t make it to the FD, but they did 👏. Love their tango

I'm being disloyal and could get beaten to death with a maple leaf, but that's what I also thought while watching them. The arms and hands were just being placed correctly, not snapped. Not as crisp as the last time I saw that program.

You know.. I have a lot of experience on this field being a chan fan and a Duhamel fan...hang in here, take what you can, enjoy your skaters and don't mind the ones who have other tastes. Just my advice.

I'm really sorry that you won't be here for the free dance - I (and I know I won't be alone in saying this) always enjoy reading your comments and having your virtual company.

Your English is great. Much better than my second language.

It gets over the top and I'm not comfortable with how the comments go (in other places too.) I wish I could get into ice dance more, but the comments towards skaters who don't control how they're scored is too much at times.
