2025 JGP Baku Women's Short Program

Sienna waited for so long for her music to start I thought the stream had frozen again. She has a nice camel spin, which stays well-centred and maintains speed. Knee slide as the difficult exit from her layback spin. The jump landings weren't what she wanted, but it wasn't a bad skate at all.

Looked it up, I was the confused one. Maybe I felt that some elements of the choreo to be similar to Kushida Ikura's The Little Prince (which was definitely Weaver choreo), maybe it was Weaver being listed first on Oka Mayuko's ISU bio, whatever my reason was I am embarrassed
Why embarrassed? I also thought it was Kaitlyn at the beginning cause it suits her freshness and creativity and I didn't know much about Kana's choreo style. Btw. recently I saw Kana's solo Ramalama bang bang program that she did at some show and it's absolutely amazing, I strongly reccomend it.

Flowers in the K & C are lovely with the discrete florist sign; the long blue/white was alone during the Men’s skate and the pink basket added for Women. Wonder what will show up for Dance 💃

Ula has an interesting costume, with the layers and lace panels and fringed effect around the sleeves and back with, as it turns out, more lace. She has good arms, using them with sensitivity to express the choreography. Catchfoot spiral to end the step sequence. Solid spins. She's happy with her score.

Maybe I lack sleep and is still somewhat stressed because of a deadline existing, but saying "Brava, Bravo" after Mlle. Z-B's performance would be so fun

Thank you for checking, I was going off what I thought Ted and Mark had said, and wondered if I had misheard.

It's funny, listening what Mark is saying now, that he called Yuma's approach more classical when I actually find his program this year an absolute breath of fresh air comapring to the plague of tricks and acrobatics we've seen taking the stage last few seasons.

As they say, everything old becomes new again
