2025 Skate Ontario Sectional Series | Oct 16-19

I’m so pissed. They talked so much about using this event as practice prior to their Senior International debut.

That is what pisses me off.
Athletes like Grayson and Yohnathan/Ava pulling out in the last minute. 😡

Looks like they already were assigned to Challenge Cup in Austria, so they could now care less about this event. 😞

Let me guess now… Gabrielle Daleman will also withdraw……

Good luck to our Senior Ladies. Especially, to Minsol Kwon (as this will be her last event of the season)

unless..... ;)
stop it… hehe!!!
There is no way she is withdrawing, right? 😬

I hope Breken is here…. And does well🙏

Also, Katherine Medland Spence and Lulu Lin. Gabby is last on the starting order. So, @saine won’t know until the last warm up group

I expected Grayson to withdraw since he just competed in Abu Dhabi and probably has to deal with jet lag. If he doesn't need to compete here, all the better.

With Ava/Yohnatan, hopefully it's something minor. I don't think they'd want to withdraw unless they couldn't compete since they were nervous about adding in that third lift.

I know. I wanted to see their new adjusted program.
Maybe, they didn’t want to risk injury, etc. or they wanted more time to practice the longer version of their program… needs more stamina.
At least we get them at a Senior International event shortly…

Enjoy the Senior Ladies SP….

Bella Jia - I think she went for a 3F-3T again, 3T looked short? Fall on 3Lz. Started performing more in the step sequence once the jumps were done, needed to hold the spiral in it more to go with the music.

50.41

Meagan Woodley - Fall on the opening jump. And then fall on what looked like the 3Lo so no combo :( 2A was nice. Stumble in the combo spin that broke it up, not sure if it'll be valid.

44.99

Cristina Lyons - Jumps landed, some of them looked a bit short to me. It's nice to see her back in singles, I like Running Up That Hill for her. She performs it well.

48.13

Must be using this event to practice the 3Lo. I believe she is assigned to Challenger Cup.

Uma Zagele - here with Joey Russell, she's been doing some training at the Cricket Club. Apres Moi by Regina Spektor, gets the opening 3-2. Hand down on the solo jump. She lost a little steam in the step sequence and slowed down in one of her spins, but I think she had more performance.

Was she a pairs skater, or am I muddling her with someone else?

I think I saw Minsol walking by with Jeffrey Buttle and Kevin Dawe, so she should be competing.

Elise Dawson - clean in the short, nicely done, hopefully she can bring it to Challenge since she could qualify if she skates like she does in the Ontario competitions.

Breken withdrew from warm-up group 3 :cry2:

Elise - 55.34 into first after the second group
