2025-26 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 1 - Magnitogorsk

She took another break after test skates.
And no, she only needs 2 quads. She got 31.5 PCS and high GOE at qualifier. Saying she wont get podium without 4 ultra-c is a really bizarre claim. Her SP yesterday was better than what you are seeing from internationals, factually. She is faster and her presentation is more cohesive.
So that would be 5th PCS score at cup of China. And 3A from amber, alysa, rinka and ani, lzlo from Alysa.
I want adelia to win but other skaters too big of a threat currently.

Cohesive presentation is a very subjective point, and she is not faster.

And oh Adelia too 😢😢 hard fall at the beginning that desestabilizad her but she managed to regroup and the end was stronger

Poor Adelia, unfortunately we had a sad winner in the K&C, the pressure is mounting and I think she is feeling like time is slowly running out to get the quads and 3A back, which I agree she does need for Milan. I feel for her. She manages to keep it together in the interview and even has some smiles, which is good. Really hope things work out for her 💪🤞

Respectfully, I disagree. Rino's SP, for example, outclasses Adeliia's, even if the scores don't (and likely will never) reflect that.

I wasn't a big fan of the top 3 at CoC either, but technically, Amber at least beat her for sure, even with the mistake on the combo in both programs. I much prefer Adeliia's FS, but both Amber's and Adeliia's SP are not really my cup of tea, tbh.

Amber has 3A but honestly that's her only quality in my eyes. Alysa Liu is pushed as hell by ISU,. her scoring is ridiculous, she notoriously underrotates but tech panel looks elsewhere. Ami Nakai was surely betetr last week but so far I have to wait whether it was just a fluke because it differed vastly from any other of her previous skates.
I do agree with like 70% of these statements. But it does not matter.

Overscored, underscored in the end it only matters who comes out on top, and Adelia currently does not.

You dont think she was faster in the SP than Alyssa and Amber...? They are all scoring under 220. I don't know why anyone thinks Adeliia is getting under 230 with 2 quads. In the last 3 seasons isn't Kaori the only one who touched this number? This is just ridiculous at face value.

Ok well to break past the endless detailed analyses: the discussion is about if Adeliia wins with 2 quads. I think she clearly does. If she got 31.5 in a debut with worse skating than yesterday, she is not getting less than 230 with two quads, and nobody else is touching this number except Nakai who is historically giga inconsistent unless she is a new skater this season which we will understand in due time. The point is you have to claim Adeliia is scoring under 230 with 2 quads which seems completely impossible to me.

Gosh I know its early in the season etc but Adelia really needs to get axel and 2 quads back.
Without them she will not even get on the podium, unfortunately nothing is exceptional, she is not very fast, steps are easy, spins kind of slow. Americans and Japanese...and have you seen Loenas free program? Spins, steps, energy. Adelia cannot even match it now.

Yeah i just don’t see that 3A coming back but that quad toe Im confident. The fact that she is already including it in her program tells us that atleast she is landing it close door. It’s early in the season so she has few months to figure it out.

The only saving grace is knowing that none of the other olympic frontrunners have shown consistency throughout the quad and maybe, just maybe she can muscle out a medal when it matters.

She is scoring 220 in Russia, internationally she scored 209. Let's say she can take it up to 215 as she had some minor stumbles. 215 is a score all Japanese, all Americans and Loena are capable off.

She needs quads and 3A, no ultra Cs equals no win barring 5 other skaters folding. Even medal is going to be hard to pull.

The thing is she does not have 2 quads...

And even if she has i think it can go both ways tbh, if other skaters has advantage from SP.

It sure will be an interesting Olympics

Thats exactly what I'm saying... of course she isnt scoring 230 without ultra-c. Maybe we misunderstood each other... a common narrative is that she needs all of her ultra-c, that is, at least 4 jumps to be the favourite. I completely disagree. 2 4Ts are enough. If she even gets 32-33 then she cannot score under 230 with 2 clean quads. It is completely impossible. If this is your position then we agree. All of her ultra-c will push over 240. If she is scoring 260 in Russia it is impossible for them to cut off over 20 points on GOE (which she got fair scoring on) and PCS (which she is still getting above average, likely at least 32 while top girls with reputation are rarely pushing 35).

Ok but we're also discussing all the other girls assuming they will be in their best form. None of them are either.

Maybe just maybe, yes.

I genuinely am unsure what was up with the scoring though. Like what was the point? The ChSq getting +1.63 is really preposterous... she just did a knee slide. :scratch2:
The overall score for FP is nonsense. Sorry. Much too high. Seems to be a "strategic score".

The 4T was a fall right when she started to slide for the jump. No confidence, no trust. It was a "slide in panic for the upcoming fall".

The rest of the program was not on the same energy level than in December. Everything was slower, everything was with less energy. Jumps are still shaky. Her knee slide was "interesting". Everything was without the "last bit of confidence" and "power". Even in Beijing she seemed to be more "confident" and "powerful". Don't know what happened the last weeks. But more and more I'm worried about Adeliya.
Based on her potential the FP was a catastrophe.

I know, you will disagree as always. But I tend to be harsher than Eteri with "my girls" :cheeky:

Why would you think I disagree about the scoring when you just quoted my post saying it was overscored? Of course she isnt as good as December that was her career peak. I only disagree in that I'm not worried about her. She is off the couch and looked amazing in the SP. Fell in the FS and doesn't seem bothered by it.

Last Oly everyone was top form, even young you was outside of front runners pulled amazing program.

Ow well, let's just hope Adelia can get quads back, and we will be here, watch and talk shit as this is all we can do.

Anyways RGP is absolutely tarnishing my sleep schedule (worth it) (I can't wait for more).
