A decent outing for Uliana at her first Grand Prix. Technically, this was a much better skate for her than the short, she just seemed more comfortable with her jumps and they have good pop when done well. Her biggest area for improvement will be the skating skills, after Maddie you can see she's a lot slower and doesn't cover nearly as much ice, as well as the performance and connection to the music. She has some nice spin positions and I liked her performance at the end of the program, she's clearly happy with the skate.

This is the first time I’m seeing Shiryaeva and she’s a rough watch. She’s slow across the ice and her skating and jumps are labored. That wasn’t good at all.

I am going say this the Canadians need to start investing in their younger skaters instead of focusing all their efforts on propping up Maddie all the time.

Uliana FS was nice , i love her CCoSp2V was bold and in the rhythm with music , the music was a good choice , classic and sure but wasn't failsafe for her, i hope she improve more in this season because the corporal expression was the right

Love how Mariia confidently looks out to the judges and audience. She carries great speed and attacks her elements.
