2025-26 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 4 - Moscow

Not good, no speed compared to the short program but it's just a horrible program they force her to skate to.

Still, Alina has a habit of melting down and not in the greatest form so never know it might be still be silver.

With Japanese delivering 3A more this season, I really hope Petrosyan can land 4T today.
So far I've only seen them gamble 50/50s. We'll see if Rinka is consistent in the FS. Otherwise, Kaori is still the only problem from Japan, IMO.

50/50 means that one of the two or both may deliver in Oly and that the Japanese can chose the strongest team very close to competition having more choices.

Probably the best glide in the world. Sinitsyna and Gushchina are closer to Tsipukhina than they are to Gorbacheva.

Consider what you just watched alongside Alex's comments from yesterday:

Something is happening to Alina Gorbacheva. She was warming-up while Adeliia was waiting her scores. Suddenly, she fell on the combo attempt and couldn't stand up. She was clearly in pain. It was unclear whether she performs. She talked to the coaches for a while, did a 3Lz+2T, and it seems like she decided to skate without a 3+3. I think the mistakes on the step sequence were related to the pain. I'm not sure if she should be second today. She has a 4S planned but that's absolutely insane in her current shape.

Absolutely bewildering from Gorbacheva.

Bravo, going to come away with minimum silver just doing what she had to do, one of the few to maintain her energy to the end.

Anyway, even if she felt confident with the quad it's a 10 point gap to Petrosian and they're going to give Petrosian 4-5 points more for PCS.
