2025 South Korean Figure Skating Ranking Competition

Finally back on track Chaeyeon 😍 Jumps with more height,body work making expression.Only that face need work and scream with the music tru Stsq.
Everyone is so serious today.We are here for business
 
So much hesitating from her.Looong preparation for jumps and slow entries making her fail miserable this skate.
 
Expectation for her are that big from me that i'm still not content with her skating.
Idk.Maybe illness.
 
Great last group except one skate.
Ski jumping fiesta today with those heights on jumps.
Bloodbath tomorrow.
Jia overscored. That's all
 
Wow!! Great final flight of skaters!!

Yujae - the 3A was amazing. But, also, the artistry was there. No wonder she placed 2nd in the JGP standings behind Mao

Jia and my beauty C.Kim are back. Three 70+ scores is wow!!

Looks like the fight for the 3rd 4CC spot is between H.Lee, Ahsun and Young

It aint over till its over. Yogi Bear. The free skate and nats will be interesting. I just hope C. Kim's injury doesnt worsen :pray:
 
Jia was amazing, very well deserved score!:cheer2:also huge congrats to Chaeyeon for a clean skate after coming back from injury and having a rough start to the season! And to Yujae Kim for a great SP, with a really nice 3a. I am worried for her and her sister for the jgp final next week, hope they keep the strength for that as well. Onto the free skate tomorrow. :clap:

Errr...sorry.....I spoke too much...I am a big fan of hers and sometimes I assume other people know what is going on in her life....and the challanges she faces...it is not for me to tell you....but if you dig deep enough into Korean social media, you may find it. :palmf: See post #73

Well said. And kodus for Young You. What the KSU does and did to some of its skaters should never have happened. Well done, Young and Hae-in.
 
Can someone tell me how the ranking system fits into the Olympic team and world team spots.
The top junior are in the junior grand prix therefore not skating in the President cup.

I guess what I am asking is the team decided by the ranking system.
The top ones Haein, Jia, Chaeyeon are in the top five but the short program leader is a senior skater I haven't heard or is she junior and age eligible?

Can she possibly go to olympics?

Please read the OP here and at the Korean FS thread, but short answer: both Yujae and Yuseong are skating today at Ranking Competition and next week at JGPF, international juniors are allowed to skate as domestic seniors. Ranking Competition decides the 4CCs team, Nationals decide the WC team, and the combination of scores from both competitions decides the Olympic team. All are picked out of age eligible skaters, so even if say Yujae wins Ranking today she will not be able to go to 4CCs nor the Olympics

ETA: Korean fans always call this competition the Ranking Competition and I do as well, it is the same thing as the President's Cup so please don't be confused
