Is it just me or did Wang/Liu seem really slow? Either that, or their performance just didn't send the right Bat-signal to me...

I thought they were slow in both programs. I get that this is a serious Batman -- but their is no flair to this - just power skating

WANG Shiyue / LIU Xinyu (CHN) are the third partnership in a row wearing all black.
When I heard the first few notes of the music, I thought it was a "James Bond" programme. But it actually turned out to be a "Batman" programme.
If you thought the previous programme was intense, this was intensity multiplied! Which is not what I think of when I think of "Batman". But, I've only ever watched the 1960's series. I haven't watched any of the films.
They were absolutely wrecked when they finished! But Shiyue was seeing the funny side of it!
I have always loved these two. And I loved that programme.
However, for the sake of my predictions, I need them to get a monster score that will take them to the
Silver Medal. But good though this was, I think that is too much of an ask.
Xinyu is having a whale of a time in the results area!
They go into 2nd position in both the FS and overall.
They are disappointed to drop. And I am disappointed too.

Yes, they were very slow out there. The lack of speed from some teams is so much more obvious in person than on television.
