That was close. I thought they would drop out of the medals.Wenjing/Cong. Wonderful outfits and a wonderful program. A couple of mistakes, but still a good skate.

he always does, at every competitionAnd the winner of the day is ... Rinky! He managed to bite a deduction out of almost everyone.
I think they would have done if they didn't have the reputation. They were given the highest PCS and I am not sure it was deserved.

SUI Wenjing / HAN Cong (CHN) skating to tradition al music
Wenjing is wearing a dress in various shades of purple. Cong is wearing a dark purple top ad black trousers.
Oh dear. This was not Wenjing's day.
She's hurt herself. She's struggling to stand up for taking their bows.
Cong is being very supportive of her. That is a good partner.
Awwww. They have been given flower crowns!!!
Wenjing is wearing her crown. Cong has his sitting on his lap.
They go into 4th position in the FS, and 2nd position overall.
They are disappointed. Particularly Wenjing.
I'm sure it'll go better next time. And it will be beautiful!

I thought score would be in 130 .

They skated like the winners they are. The ones that won the Olympics gold

A person can tell by skating. It slowly, skill level ,musicality, performance, it is there.

finally, the judges are being fair to them@4everchan you will be pleased to hear that Kelly Ann & Loucas messed up both their SBS jumps, yet they managed to get a new SB and improved their PB by more than 5 points
Their throws were great and seems like the judges are starting to reward them!!

No, this isn't right. Sui Wenjing was really struggling to even get to the ice for the Podium Ceremony. Han Cong was having to help her with every step.
Now that I have read the comments and realise that she had pre-exisiting injuries and it probaby isn't all from today's falls, they shouldn't have been here. Health is more important than medals.
That said, since they are here, it was lovely to see Wenjing wearing her flower crown for the ceremony.
Mmmm. I think cutting to the logo immediately after the photos on the top step of the podium was a strategic decision by the director to avoid showing Wenjing struggling to get off the podium.
If the Chinese Fed had any concern for the welfare of their legends of the sport, they would change who they were sending to Assago. Because, after what I saw today, I am really worried about the effects that competing there would have on Wenjung and Cong's longterm health.

This last month has been such a strange time for the top pairs.
Conti and Macii injured after their nationals and withdrawing from Europeans.
Muira and Kihara withdrawing after the short from their national championships.
Stellato-Dudek and Duchamps losing their national title.
Golubeva and Giotopoulos Moore restricted from competing b/c of her residency requirements.
Efimova and Mitrofanov unable to skate at the Olympics but winning Four Continents.
Fabienne Hase and Volodin having such an error ridden Europeans and losing to Metelkina and Berulava.
And of course Sui and Han this week.
If you ask me who will medal in in Italy, it is too hard to call right now.
