2026 World Figure Skating Championships | Free Dance

Is that Ilia doing more voiceovers during the Lithuanian program? "God is a DJ because when you're a DJ, you are something. You are not nothing. You mix music for people to be inspired to listen to and dance to and you get money when you do that. Hopefully your audience can hear the music and dance to it. It's good for DJs to be able to do DJ things because then they are something."
"Embrace the bass drop."

My biggest problem with the L/L FD is that I wish the music was cut differently; it’s too repetitive in spots. They’ve delivered a clean and lovely dance that they and their fans should truly be proud of.

And rightly so. I loved Jean-Luc's (and also Gabby Papadakis's) analyses about why Emilea and Vadym have seemingly jumped over the teams who've been waiting "their turn" in the fabled Ice Dance tradition.

I admit I'm also a person who loves to see the predicted order shaken up and stirred. :)
Vadym's exceptional talent was visible for me since I saw him for the first time at junior level. He stood out from the rest and still does, and only gets better. Emilea is newer to ice dance but it's incredible how fast she got to the level she is, they are a great match and she doesn't remain in the shadow at all. Even if I'm not Igor's fan in terms of material he gives to his skaters, I cannot take my eyes from them. Plus they seem to be the best trained team in terms of fitness, they must work incredibly hard and it's a sport after all, form matters.
It's not my favourite team in terms of style and matching my taste but I think they deserve the scores and places they get.

This program never grew on me and I don’t think it’s just because it reminds me of another skater that I think has the definitive skate to this music. They just seem cold and disconnected throughout.
