i'm without word....i feel, so, so bad for Weir. But, I will say that his beautiful axel hasn't been so, so beautiful lately.

That said, I most sincerely hope he regroups and gets on that darn podium!!!! I also wish all the skaters well but come on Johnny - you have to be there!!!!!!!!!!!

why wouldn't he?

nationals 2010 will decide the oly team more than 09 will.
Are you sure? I don't Know because there is so much talk about how everybody who wants to be on olympics needs to do well at LA worlds...so I don't understand the system...the skaters are only winning the spots for the country by good placement at worlds this year?

just realized fierceyuna is the one who harassed people doing PBP here. what a troll!
A) No way that Evan has better skating skills than Johnny. It is a joke to me that Evan's PCS is higher than Johnny's.

B) Fierceyuna is obviously a troll.

All this upcoming world's will determine is the number of spots for each country. Individual skaters will get reputation in front of the international judges.

Evan and Wier usually seem pretty well matched to me on SS.

Weir is a little more fluid and has a softer approach, but Lysacek gets more speed and shows more connecting footwork and agility.

It doesn't surprise me that Weir is drifting away from Abbott and Lysacek on the PCS. His programs are becoming increasingly more tentative and slow, and he's reusing choreography in the footwork sequences. His stamina seems to be an issue.

Ryan Bradley (Elvis Presley medley)

Great opening Elvis moves
4T+3T not sure if 4T was rotated, slight 2-foot on 3T
3A great
2Lz (automatic -3 GOE, I think I 3 is required)
CCoSp3 very slow
CiSt great personality, crowd loves it
Stars to FCSp4
Interesting choices doing camels instead of the (easier) sits
SlSt crowd clapping along
CCoSp4
It'd be a great program even if he splatted on every jump.

Ryan Bradley- Elvis Medley

4t-3t clean
3a massive and clean
2z loss of concentration
camel catch foot chg camel
cir steps
stars into flying camel
straight line steps really playing to the crowd now
combo spin

kicking himself for the lutz

crowd still happy

74.05 (4th)

Catching up on the thread after being away from the computer all evening, but a couple of things...

That nitwit that was telling us off about PBP and "betraying" IN by posting vids to YouTube, there is such a thing as a Report a Poster button. Instead of giving this twit what it wants by responding to it, report the little idiot so the Mods know who to go after and, hopefully, ban from this great place.

Oh and if you're still around...Perhaps if IN/NBC invested in a YouTube channel so all of us fans could see the performances, then maybe they'd give themselve a boost in PR and also help out the sport. That way, those of us in Canada who can't access IN and those in Europe, Asia, where ever could also see the great skating from US Nats too.

Ooops...I forgot...That would be common sense *and* promoting the sport, as well as using the Net the way it should be used.

Now that I've got that out of my system...

As someone who knits, let me tell some of you guys a few things...

While I can't do it, it is possible for someone to knit w/out looking at what they're doing and watch something else at the same time. Such as a skating event. I've seen many ladies at events over the years do this and I envy them for being able to do it.

Second...While it may be hard for some to believe this, but even if you have your yarn in a bag, it can still come out if you're pulling on it hard enough while you're working. It's happened to me many times while both crocheting and knitting and it's easy enough to do. I'm willing to bet that poor woman did have her yarn in a bag. Would you put a ball/skein of yarn on the floor of an arena? I wouldn't. I feel so badly for her right now and I'm sure she was beyond embarassed too.

She certainly doesn't deserve being called a twit for it though and as a knitter/crocheter to whom that very thing has happened to, I have to say I'm rather digusted over some of the comments seen here towards what happened. It's not like she did it on purpose after all.

That said...I'm back to finish reading the thread.

4T+3T was clean as a could be on replay. 2Lz will really hurt him though

OMG, I can't believe you devote two to defend the poor knitting lady. Believe me, people here were just joking.
