senior men short program

As someone who knits, let me tell some of you guys a few things...

While I can't do it, it is possible for someone to knit w/out looking at what they're doing and watch something else at the same time. Such as a skating event. I've seen many ladies at events over the years do this and I envy them for being able to do it.

Second...While it may be hard for some to believe this, but even if you have your yarn in a bag, it can still come out if you're pulling on it hard enough while you're working. It's happened to me many times while both crocheting and knitting and it's easy enough to do. I'm willing to bet that poor woman did have her yarn in a bag. Would you put a ball/skein of yarn on the floor of an arena? I wouldn't. I feel so badly for her right now and I'm sure she was beyond embarassed too.

She certainly doesn't deserve being called a twit for it though and as a knitter/crocheter to whom that very thing has happened to, I have to say I'm rather digusted over some of the comments seen here towards what happened. It's not like she did it on purpose after all.

That said...I'm back to finish reading the thread.

Okay I must have missed something....what happened with yarn and knitting?

joking or not it was mean spirited, and I see Tigger's point. let's focus on the skating please and not individual posters.

Johnny is in tenth place on his tech scores. I know the triple axel is important but was the rest of his program that inferior technically?

Actually,PE doesn‘t mean just Performance, it means Performance-Execution, which the cleaner programs will get award at it...

I knew that, and that's actually why I was surprised that Bradley beat Weir in that mark. Even though Bradley is a good performer, Weir's overall execution of the actual program is usually stronger than what Bradley can do. Even when clean Bradley's footwork, spins, and in between movement seem to be on a lower level than Weir.

Considering that they both didn't complete one of the jumps correctly, I thought the judges would go with Weir.

3A and 3Lz+3T were definitely clean on replay. This should top Weir.
