And the NYT keeps the interactive graphic hits going. Here's one about Hanyu and Chan: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...ics/mens-figure-skating.html?smid=tw-sochinyt

Agree. He should dismiss his quads and just do his magic. Clean skates. (I always liked him and was a bit sad, I had always watch nationals on youtube for the amazing performances he delivered)
Random thought - Since it's likely that Hanyu will continue skating and show up at the next Olympics, do you guys think he'll stick with Brian Orser as his coach, or move his training back to Japan?
I do hope Abbott goes to Worlds. I would love to see him sneak out a surprise medal. Who knows, maybe he could. He will have no pressure at all if he goes, and as we were reminded again this is the weakest and most inconsistent mens field in history, so a skater as talented as Abbott popping off 2 good performances out of the blue would probably get enough help to medal.
I realize its a mental block. But to quote Yagudin , a jump is not consistent unless you land it in competition. I am not sure it was wise to use it at the Olympics because its clearly not there yet. However, he may have felt if he didn't go for it, he'd regret it.
I could not agree more. I think Jeremy could medal, especially if Patrick and Dai don't skate.

At least Plushenko, when asked what he had to say to his critics, responded with "Thank you very much" as he looked straight into the camera with a big smile.
Well that was a disappointing men's event.
AND JASON'S STILL SMILING. Stop being so adorable.
GIFSoupYou need to get your Sarcasm Radar adjusted if you think Plush was in any way being sincere or polite.

Oh god why??!!!
""Sato, his coach, said Abbott plans to compete at the world championships in March in Japan. He finished eighth at the 2012 worlds.""

I am sure Jeremy wants to end his career with a World medal. Given how the men skated here he absolutely can, he just needs to put it together for once already.
