2014-2015 Programs by Discipline

The Shibs actually announced their selections in August on their Facebook page, where they also went into detail about the thoughts behind each program.

I notice these hadn't been posted yet, but several other ISU bios were updated a few weeks ago:

What are new  in the post from Doris (as she noted at the beginning of her post) are the specific music selections for the Shibutanis' SD -- which were not in their FB post from August and were not previously known. (My emphases added above.)

The start of a new quad and they want to be Kerrs 3.0 already. :disapp: Same choreographer and coach too. This is not a good idea.

From Nepela

Federica Testa & Lukas Csolley SVK
SD Flamenco; Paso Doble: Nerva by Soria 9 Sevilla; Flamenco: Que se ven desde el Conquero by Pepe Romero
FD Welcome to the Circus, Hurt (Instrumental by Christina Aguilera), Cantus, Song of the Spirit , by Karl Jenkins

Julie Marcotte choreographed Castelli and Tran's free skate, but other than it being a tango, neither skater could identify the music.

Re the quote about Castelli/Tran's FS music from IN's article about An Evening with Champions:

I see that Doris already has added the title of their tango to her master list, but LOL, seems that Mervin still would be in the dark to this day if not for a blogger's tweet :

If you want to be technical about it. C/B and the Kerrs have different styles. Penny and Nicholas aren't trying to be "Kerrs 3.0" as you stated. That's ridiculous. Also, yes, they are using Muse but it's totally different cuts, and C/B are using Exogenesis Pt 1, not Part 3 as the Kerrs did. Relax.

Papadakis/Cizeron FD

Concerto for Piano and Orchestra 23 Mozart Adagio in A Major
by Albert Lizzio, Mozart Festival Orchestra

Well that's quite the change from their last year's super modern FD, but I have to say that I like what I see. Of course it needs some more work, more refinement, but I do like it. Especially that last lift, the way they bend down *o*

Papadakis & Cizeron SD from French Masters
SD Farrucas Sin Zapateado y Sin Cante, Farrucas Baile Completo by El Trini

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kTCs5rbgzzU

For me this is the best SD i have seen so far for the season...not perfect...i saw a few errors here and there which you might expect with a first outing...but i can see this really developing during the season...love the use of the skirt...he even flung it too at 1:45...also the vocals sound very similar to that in A/P 2002 flamenco OD...does anyone know if it is the same singer?

According to Twitter, Machida's new programs

Have you seen that recent picture of him lately, where he's sporting some interesting facial hair? It's like over the summer he goes out to the mountains and trains with monks to come back the next season having mastered air-bending. Has there been any talk of his layout ?

^I think it's nice. I love Mae. I think her new SP is very entertaining in the good way. She is a bit slow in this, but yes, she can improve, it's still early.
