2014 Skate Canada Mens SP 10/31

I think Max let up a little on his intensity. He did a double after the quad when he intended a triple and he had a hand down on his 3-axel.

Still should not have been behind Carrierre.

Smiles and energy and lots of good jumps, just what I love from Max.

WHAT IN THE BLUE BLAZES IS THAT SCORE?!?!!?!?

Too low- I agree. He should have been ahead of Carriere. yes, he had two little "errors" but his technical content was so much higher. He may have had an error on a spin, too- not sure.

Still should not have been behind Carrierre.

But you got to look point by point. Max may have more political rep in the U.S. I think, but the judges here apparently like Carriere's program presentation, and did they give Carriere more on PCS too? Max can clean up the slight mistakes and probably overtake Stephen in the fp. We'll see.

I see a post down the way indicates Stephen got 4 points better on tech than Max. It was the mistakes Max made that I mentioned earlier.

Granted I'm only half watching, and I do like some of these skaters. But Adam's *program/choreo/presentation* is still the one that's really grabbed me. I could watch him skate around all day, but oy, at comps I also want to see the bleeping jumps.

And maybe this isn't Max Aaron so much as it is the USFS or whoever is doing his publicity, but he reminds me of Michael Weiss in ways good and bad. (The whole "he played hockey" blah-blah is like when they'd portray Weiss as the rock-music-loving "guy's guy.")

GoldenSkate is so sloooow for me... anyone else with this problems?

A bit of catch-up

Hate the music footloose because they played it to death so I'll have to skip Max's short this season. I'll watch his long.

I'm trying to watch this live stream but there are several ads right on top of the screen which I can't seem to make it go away. Please help

With or without adblock it should be possible to X them out if you're on a home computer. On my tablet however I can not click the little X's & make them go away. I don't know why :frown:

Fwiw Carriere's TES is 4 points higher than Aaron. So Max must've lost points somewhere.

Michal is a nice skater with a sexy voice, but he really needs to work on improving his style and presentation. I think Michal's scores were a bit generous, but maybe the fall didn't take off too many points.

Mura is NOT one of my favorite skaters. He's good technically, but doesn't grab attention at all, at least for me.
