Ah no, Adam ... I was hoping he wouldn't succumb to the jitters on his 3-axel. Golly gee, where is that going to place him with everyone skating fairly clean here? Adam has got such style and very strong programs. Please can he toughen up and catch a break sometime!

Adam Rippon certainly looks comfortable in the character for his SP, not so lucky with the jumps. Good 3F with one arm overhead, step out and fall on the 3A, huge pop on what I assume was a 3Lz combo.

He's got such talent and so many people who care about him. Why?! It's obvious Rafael believes in him and cares about him a lot.

It's not about that. You have to do a solo triple jump in the short program. If you jump a double, it's invalid and you receive zero points for it.
