Very nice skate from Stephen. He really saved that spin in the middle of the program, and he double-footed the first triple. But sass and class in terms of quality skating and presenting the program beautifully.

It was a quad, right? When did he change coach from Johansson/Mitchell? And who is Suna Murray? Yes, well done saving the spin. 80.33 is almost 6 points better than his former PB

It's not about that. You have to do a solo triple jump in the short program. If you jump a double, it's invalid and you receive zero points for it.

Good on him for finishing in character with a smile despite the errors. He doesn't look pleased, but also not making a dramatic fuss. May be a headcase, but at least he's a good sport.

Double jumps are invalid for the men in the SP as well, I believe (solo triple or quad is required out of steps). Trying to look for protocols where it happened but I can't find one yet...
