Adam did something like that at his last international (I think Finlandia, but it was a weaker field). Looking back, I think Adam looked a bit tense during the warm-up. This is Adam's 7th year on the GP circuit. ]The question is, does he want to continue skating, and if so then can somebody get to the sources of his problems?
I guess it ain't that easy (looking at Jeremy Abbott with his talent and meager international results). At least Johnny Weir was able to get his competition nerves under control enough to make an impact over the course of his career. Actually, I think Johnny should have scored better at 2004 and 2005 Worlds, but politics kept him from medaling. He does have a bronze World medal from 2008. Also, of course Johnny should have come in at least 3rd or 4th place at Olympics 2010. His own nerves kept him from an Olympic medal in 2006.
