2014 Skate Canada Mens SP 10/31

Darn - had the Russian link & saw aLL THE first group...now with the good ones it isnt working :o(

ESP guy wanting Taka to go into first, other guy (sorry Idr their names, shame on me) not so sure, thinks it's close with his mistakes.

Yum, Menshov and Voronov are like the sexy energizer bunnies of figure skating. :love: Even though they don't have perhaps all the aesthetic talent that Adam possesses, they both know how to WORK IT for all they've got!

It is working here with me.

Taka into the 2nd, I don't buy this.

> on the 4T, >> on the 3T (and -3 GOE), low landing on the axel, poor change camel :cry:

His PCS is still quite low nonetheless -- his SS and TR in particular should be much higher.

Kozuka's PCS low as always.

ANd Meshov's huge 4T+3T! And perfect 4S!!! :eek::clap:

EDIT: and then did a weird jump thing that could maybe be called a 2A

Adam did something like that at his last international (I think Finlandia, but it was a weaker field). Looking back, I think Adam looked a bit tense during the warm-up. This is Adam's 7th year on the GP circuit. ]The question is, does he want to continue skating, and if so then can somebody get to the sources of his problems?

I guess it ain't that easy (looking at Jeremy Abbott with his talent and meager international results). At least Johnny Weir was able to get his competition nerves under control enough to make an impact over the course of his career. Actually, I think Johnny should have scored better at 2004 and 2005 Worlds, but politics kept him from medaling. He does have a bronze World medal from 2008. Also, of course Johnny should have come in at least 3rd or 4th place at Olympics 2010. His own nerves kept him from an Olympic medal in 2006.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with you about Adam. I have also asked myself if he really wants to continue, cause then I guess you can't be good. You can even master the technical components, but you don't enjoy it, it is all useless.

Johnny also could have archived more if everybody wasn't disliking him, but the main is, he continued to fight and wanted to continue. The same about Jeremy, he wanted to retire but then he realized he wants to continue. Because he apparently loves his sport and enjoy every moment. Adam is also very artistic, but sometimes I feel he doesn't want to be there.
