2015-2016 Russian Nationals Ladies SP

After watching everyone, I would've put Yulia second. The quality of her skating simply outmatches Lena's.

AND BOO @ SOTSKOVA'S SCORES!!! :furious:

Sima got underscored in her components big time. She had some of the best interpretation of the night....and then you look at the scores.:hopelessness: I mean...no offense to Adelina but she looked tired and uncommitted. Sima's steps were crisp and energetic and her movements are so good and with a purpose. Her score is so unfair in my fit of rage and less than humble opinion :furious:

agreed, Elenas record is much higher than Evgenia in Russian competitions

that is why I called her Queen of Russian FS not Medvedeva
But outside of Russia, Radio's record is not so high. She's like Kovtun, only good in Russia but not so good internationally. That's not what you expect from a queen.

What do you think about Yulia's Lutz? I examined the slowmo and looked like she was on flat edge at its best, maybe even on the inside. Not fully sure though.

I wonder , are they going to leave Elizaveta off the team if she is not going to land on podium ?

We will have to wait until the FS, but if Adelina, Anna, and Julia skate the way they have been all season, I'd give it to Liza because she can put it under pressure and does have the highest scoring potential. Sotskova is out of it because, although she is FANTASTIC, they'll send Adelina before her.

Sotskova is still in juniors though so they wouldn't send her anyway.

Does anyone have the protocols? I am somewhat mistified by Adelina's technical scores. The 3-3 looked > for me, and the 3 flip>>
the lutz of Sakhanovich is a clear e, imho and she's virtually in stand still for the 2A
Quite impressed by Julia's jumps although in the free she will have to face all of her recent struggles. She's always been a great sp skater
Liza was a very big dissapointment, I think she's burnt out from last season. I hope at least she can redeem herself with a good long program
Radionova was great, even if she's OTT and the jumps looked squeezed out sometimes
I love Pogorilayas's music, I remember Sarah Meier used to skate to it. Glad she did well. When she's in the zone her jumps are huge
Congrats to Medvedeva. Her layout is so risky and she always delivers. We will see what happens in the future when she grows. For the moment, she seems unstoppable

But she is 16 before june. I thought she can go.

You have to be 16 before the start of the season, meaning that she had to be turn 16 before June 2015 to be able to go this year.

EDIT: Welp, got that wrong, you have to be 15.

Age-wise she can, but this year she is still competing as a junior internationally. It doesn't make sense to send her to Worlds for her first senior experience unless there is nobody else to send.

are you being sarcastic ;)

Elena has never been off the podium internationally and in her bad days, she can still pull off a bronze

she is world bronze medalist
she was national champion
euros silver medalist
twice GPF medalist
3 times gp gold medalist including 1from this year

yeah right, not very good results internationally

Actually, her senior debut already was this season in Tallinn Trophy a bit over a month ago, which she won.

ladies skated in morning

OK...must be a cultural difference....even if I had to go to Nats at Christmas time, I would make it there for Ladies short....nats isnt cheep to attend in the US...and I would think the ladies would be the premier event...well, we see what the seats look like during long.....
