I didn't know before, that it is allowed to do two exactly the same combinations.

As long as the skater doesn't Zayak, it's ok. It's also good strategy for Satoko, since her 2A+3T is better than her 3Lz+3T.

I like Polina's program too. Especially her twizzles. I hate her dress and hair though, but if that is what she likes to wear, which that is most likely the case, then I'll leave her be with that and just enjoy her program.

Honest Question: what did she do? links to interview?

She's never happy with her scores, and she and her coach frequently talk about how she has the purest and best technique in the whole world and it should be known that she is at the level of the top skaters, essentially. She tends to lip or ! her flip, but she actually blamed it on the judges, saying that she has impeccable jump technique. Basically, she tends to chalk everything up to others (the judges) not scoring her fairly (high).

"Of course I was disappointed how I fell in the short programs, but I have nerves, and I'm proud to have shown clean long programs, which shows how hard I worked," she continued. "I didn't make any more mistakes than any other girl in the Grand Prix, but I am a newcomer so the judges are going to be a little more strict with me. "

Beyond the falls, Edmunds, like most ladies, occasionally lost points during the Grand Prix when technical panels judged a few of her jumps under-rotated. Her triple flip, which earned full marks at the 2014 World Figure Skating Championships, had a few "e's," denoting incorrect outside edge take-offs. Neither the skater nor Glynn thinks these deductions will be big issues in the future.

"I know all my jumps are good and they are clean and have good technique," Edmunds said. "I learned edges for my jumps from very technical coaches like David Glynn, my (primary) coach, and I worked with Christy Ness and Alex Fadeev and Frank Carroll. And I've consulted technical specialists, too, and they looked over everything and said everything is fine. I think the question about wrong take-off edges is not for me, it's for other people."

It's more of the second quote that really gets me. Polina has been called for a lip or ! on her flip in everything single competition this season. It's not "for other people".

I thought the most beautiful skates today were Polina's and Li Zijun's, they were effortless, despite some flaws on Li's jumps, and really drew the audience into their performances. Of course they skated slower to fit the nuances of the music. The others struggled, including Rika and Satoko, and it affected their programs.

Usfsa must be flipping **** right now

Yep, not a great situation with Gracie having mental issues and Polina not being quite ready for prime time yet. Ashley is doing well, but there is always the concern of her usual pattern to her seasons.

To my eyes, her lip is very clear....

Last season, it was borderline.

Lol her comments about her flips always cracks me up. Talk about looking at things with one eye closed. :rolleye:
