Chill out. Mao was not great today and of course the PCS is gonna suffer when all of your jumps have faults.

Mao is great, the program (when clean) will be great, but the program was a hot mess today.

I agree (except with Mao UR'ed her 3T since she did not even try a 3T today) but I still think that on SS part of PCS, Mao should have the best score in the competition. Just IMO
 
The men probably took away too much sacred Olympic energy from this Olympic rink and it's not the night for most of the ladies

Whatever, the 3L, you know what I mean, the second jump in her 3-3 Combo. Apologies. The 3A was very clearly underrotated on the slow-mo.

It was a bad skate for her. Luckily she sold it and got some decent PCS. I know exactly what I'm talking about, TYVM.
 
Wow, talk about a splatfest. It's a relief that I decided to wake up and watch this live because if I just woke up later and looked at the results page I'd be so confused at what happened. This was a very interesting event where...
1. It's the first time in this GP series that nobody surpassed 70 points.
2. Mao was beaten in PCS in Japan by almost a point.
3. Anna got into last place (I'm still devastated :sad21:)

Tomorrow's free will have to be redemption for everyone who is not Satoko or Courtney. Maybe Mirai should go into that category too.
 
Loved the slo mo replay of Sotoko. She's has seemingly bionic-strength knees landing those moves :rock:.

She's not going to get the "good height and distance" bullet point for jump GoE... but that's just one bullet point out of eight.

On that basis, it's your % penalty for smaller jumps, that makes no sense, to me.

Poor Anna! I hope she brings her best tomorrow. Anyway, her chance to quailfy for GPF has gone. So sad!
 
Mao is a very inconsistent skater as expected. When people were automatically crowning her the World title, I had serious doubts about that... And look what happened.... Ouch.
