2015 Worlds Gala Exhibition March 29

there's a difference with one of the first sports ever introduced... and new sports.
Eh I dunno...I mean the Nordic countries always win the Nordic Combined Skiing (obviously :P) but that's still a thing in the Olympics.

for instance with curling, it took a long time ... until japan, china and korea started to take the sport seriously as it was only europe and north america...

There, Yuzu did a jump to ND for whoever wanted to see it

eta: Warwick

The team event medals in FS will also always be US, Russia, and Canada. Japan's pairs and ice dance teams are too poor to contend and in China, everything but pairs is always wobbly. Italy doesn't have a good enough lady or man anymore. And France is really only good at ice dance now.

Also speed skating at the Olympics is dominated by the Dutch: 23/36 medals were won by the Netherlands in 2014.

Did Javi and Yuzuru just skate at the same time, and the cameras only focused on Yuzuru? D'oh. ;-)

Yuzuru brings all the cameras to the yard.

SELFIE STICK!

And this selfie should be better than the one Ellen DGenres did :P

Misha needs a new, much longer selfie stick for these situations

The ice is packed full of smoking hot people and rock stars. I won't be able to stand the heat if I were in the audience :drama:

Well I did see some security people in the crowd at the end there...probably to make sure things didn't get out of control.

Oh, please excuse my ignorance. Thank you for the update :).

Oh no problem at all, I wasn't trying to step on your toes, I just wanted to update with some info I heard (longer wait for news). I completely realize the sport isn't popular or well liked by many boards (not saying by you in particular, just in general) and with a relatively newer sport, info just isn't easily available to the masses. However, it is much appreciated to those who make the effort to learn more and spread info and there are quite a few here who do just that. :)

Also, just a general comment - Although, not all aspects of every sport need to be followed or liked by all fans, it just gets tiresome trying to defend your particular discipline all the time. There was a time when I was much younger (and admittedly didn't really care for my dance coach so that my have determined my views) that I really didn't like dance at all. However, I never said it shouldn't be included or the skaters didn't work hard. I just didn't follow along or keep up with that discipline. Now, I will happily admit that I was wrong to do that and in fact I think dance is probably the hardest discipline in many, many aspects.

ETA: my apologies for getting off topic
