2015 Worlds Short Dance March 25

The Americans have been known for YEARS AND YEARS to be horrendous at playing the politicking game.

In North American maybe? Come on now. Let's not play Holier-than-thou card, and neither "they're stupid" that Dick Button likes to play. ;)
I know at least from two pairs managers, and one journalist, that the Italian Fed are allies of USA Fed since Sochi. They are in good terms with Russia as well (against the French) but it depends to whom they give their support following the agenda of the moment.

Cizeron is gorgeous, but so is Gabriella. She doesn't have the usual pretty face, and her features really stand out.

Of course, all top ice dancers are pretty darn attractive.

Alright. I tweeted at Maia and Alex as well as @ISU_Reporter. One would think the skaters will find this themselves but just in case.

I wonder what the protocol is for disputing a score? I remember Igor did this at Cup of China with Pechalat/Bourzat regarding a deduction they gave them...

I don't know if I can agree with that. I think Igor is a politicker par excellence, but the USFSA?

Then again, I'm no expert on conspiracy theories and cabals and the like, so here's the salt shaker. Take what I say with it. :)

Why am I not one bit surprised?

Case in point... president of USFSA gets interview on nationwide live mid-afternoon public radio show. Doesn't mention A SINGLE THING about Ice Dance. Nada. Nothing.

There was a perfect in to make comments the commentator makes a big point of asking if the U.S. can recover from a "lull in the program." USFSA could have simply said, oh hey we're great at Ice Dance. Nope. Didn't do that.

He even goes and mentions Synchronized Skating and growth there...but nothing about Ice Dance?!

The USFSA?! Lol I love you Alba but the US couldn't politick to save their lives... now Igor on the other hand....

How did C/B's twizzles get level 4? And why do you leave out the tech controller is AMERICAN? There is also an AMERICAN judge on the panel, but no Canadian or French judge.

Sorry for your supposed conspiracy theory, but there is no American judge on the panel in the SD and the Tech Controller votes only if the TS and ATS disagree on a call.

It's fairly common knowledge that Igor is the best technical coach in the world. His skaters proved it again.

I don't know if it's because of politics. In any case, no matter how good a coach is from a technical point of view, he/she can not make shallow edges skate a level 4 NtMiSt.

I am very disappointed with the scoring though I appreciate I am not a judge. I would not have chock and bates first and certainly with not such a lead. I dislike whenone skater is so much weaker and this should be penalized moreso under IJS / COP. Yes, Chock and Bates are good show skaters but don't deserve such high scores their edges and purity of skating is lacking and yes, he is far better than her technically and that should be reflected in the scores. We could be facing a situation a few years ago where some lucky team got two world championships in a row and it left a great team with two silvers (Dubreil and Lauzon) I forgot that tam they were good and I think he eventually got drunk and killed somone drunk driving but while they were good they probably didn't deserve two golds. This could happen and ironically a Canadian team the unlucky if C and L somehow win gold. I hope not, but I thought the shibs should have been higher and I would have marked i and Z higher too. C and b definitely lower. I like P and C but I wouldn't have had their pcs first - I still would have W and P first followed by I and Z and then P and C or tied with i and z. Yes, like I wrote Russia is looking pretty scarey losing all their top skaters in every discipline and in most situations their no. 2 skater as well except in men where they were always weakest over the last while. They are down to like their no. 3 or 4 dance team and no. 4 pairs team who is coming back from injury and aged. I don't know if they can move up enough to earn three spots in dance or pairs. If the judging is like this crown Chock and Bates with gold now and end the suspense :(

TS and ATS are the ones giving levels. The controller only interfers if TS and ATS disagree. I am sure there was some disagreement in this competition.

No. The controller supervise the calls. If he/she thinks they are wrong he can change them, providing that one of the two between TS and ATS agree with him/her. So it's a majority vote.

well I think the draw also favours C and B for the free dance and the French and Italians. W and P say good bye. I hope this is not deja vu; could the italians win gold? It really does come down to one skate - and while we want just and fair scoring/judging it is kind of hard when a team has been held up despite some dreadful skates but I guess they worked hard - I still wouldn't have them so high I would have placed them behind the shibs and I and z. I kind of feel bad for W and P; I think they will be forgotten and kind of like Dubreil and Lauzon. Maybe it is the Canadian curse so to speak.

Im just not happy about how high the russians were. The shibutanis should pf finished above them.

The scoring as a whole is overinflated. It's patently obvious that NONE of these teams are at the level that Marlie and Voir were, but TPTB want to insist they are and All Is Well and Nothing's Changed by overinflating ALL the scores.

It's the Emperor's New Judging System.

I agree with this.

If i had my way, no one wouldve scored over 70. That score range is strictly reserved for D/W and V/M ;)

Except that W/P are undefeated this season, and they came from behind at 4CC to win.

It's pretty much a 4-way tie at the top.
