2016 US Nationals Senior Ladies SP

Did the leather on one of her boots split? You could almost see it on the 2A replay, and she said something to her coach about it when she came off the ice.

I hope not. Boot problems are the last thing poor Mirai needs just as she's getting going again.

Very few countries have 22 senior ladies skaters that are top notch at the same time. I get your point, but I think the American skaters have taken enough heat already this week.

Edit: Nice job Mirai! I'm not her biggest fan by any means, but I'm happy she was so successful.

THIS.

Please, can we just take the good with the bad and be happy about the good skates instead of focusing on how the USFSA is "doomed"?

Jackie says the 3F was called 3Fe which seems fair to me after seeing the replay.

I wasn't sure about its rotation, either.

This is sounding like an event that I'm glad I skipped. Yikes!! Hopefully the final skaters will save the day.:dumb:

Lots of higher ranked skaters to come. Still time for the level to go up. Although, after the pairs and their Salchow-buttslides earlier today, the event as a whole hasn't blown me away yet.

I'm not watching since I don't have icenetwork, but I'm surprised to see Hicks quite a ways down the list after her GP medal.

^^ Well, even without IceNetwork, (and believe me, even if you had it, you'd be without), if you are following this pbp thread, you would know why Hicks is far down in the standings.

Not so fast...there's still Nagasu. She could challenge if she delivers.

Not if U.S. fed has anything to say about it, unfortunately.

Given the average age of skating fans that attend nationals I bet they are loving this arena music....

This is about par for the course for USFSA arena music. It's never great..... and gets stuck in your head if you have to sit in the arena with it all week. It's painful. And I'm a millennial.
