Why the need to not call Caro's UR? Anna could have lost the silver, look at the difference between them. Could have gone the other way. It's hardly like Zhenya's the only one benefiting. Caro's PCS was overscored in the SP too while Anna was low balled as usual. How about that?

It's always great to see Caro the queen and lets not talk about her candies.

I mean everyone should be called without any bias, and I hate this excuse for defending someone "But she also did it!!!11". Just everyone should be called. All three URed actually.

Seems like a lot of people are talking about how up to this competition Anna always won only bronze (which I also disagree with too). So, topic:, but am I the only one who genuinely thinks she deserved not silver but gold at the GPF? Even with the turnout in the SP, she shouldn't have been 6 points behind Evgenia, and she definitely deserved to be ahead of Evgenia in the FS too.

Anna's PCS are a joke. So is Med getting higher SS than Kostner

Kostner should be schooling Medvedeva on IN (especially), CO and PE, but her SS aren't in peak form, and I actually think Medvedeva had excellent speed and definitely a greater variety of transitions. I think both Kostner and Medvedeva were overscored, but would have Medvedeva slightly behind her on PCS, taking all categories into consideration (both subjective and objective).

Yay. Wow the top 3 were amazing. Placements were right. Wow such grit from all of them. I like Carolina's lp way better than the short which really is an attempt of being artsy but it sort of went thud. I can't believe how Pogo is really not giving in. Though she is getting old by Russian standards lol she just keeps on fighitng - like the new Maria B. Yay for the aged! (Isn't that sad 18 and she is seen as yesterday's news - I guess that could be Evgenia next year replaced by Maria S or perhaps Tsuryka or one of the others. Where can you say they are too old with likes of Julia, Liza and Adelina and Elena. Poor Leonova is seen as one foot in the grave. Carolina is looking good. With more time who knows.

I could care less how many combos Evgenia does, but it is different than Nathan's quads because there is a rule that limits the number of combos than can be done in a program. To my knowledge, there is no limit to the number of quads that can be done. Nathan didn't Zayak by adding a fifth quad.

no need to show off she can add another 3toe in her program when she can't even do a proper 3lutz.

Anyway.

I am happy about the 1,2 and 3. Caro's back and she can go further. Anna finally got scored properly and I am so happy for her silver Zhenya the best overall, congratulations for another title. You keep pushing little lady, you keep pushing.

Lots of other good skates, got to mention Laurine and Emmi. This was for me an excellent competition overall, both the SP and FS. Congratulations to all the ladies.

FYI, anyone can look at my post history and see that I am NOT an Evgenia hater and that I have stood up for Evgenia many times in the past on Golden Skate. BUt this is really reaching a point of ridiculousness. What she goes out there and does, like smile during a program about terrorism, literally doesn't matter. Can't wait for Yulia to bring back Schindler's List and smile after every time she lands a jump.

Why bother with rules if skaters just flaunt them? It's not pushing skating forward. Another triple toe is not pushing anything. It's just a triple toe. if she puts in a 3A, or a quad, then she's pushing the sport further. Until then, she's not.

Few can afford flaunting the rules like Evgenia.

If she had UR they should have been called. If that meant she was off the podium that would be fair to me. But I do think she is a better PCS skater than Evgenia. For what it is worth I think Anna should be closer to the Evgenia in the in PCS.

She's receiving the appropriate deduction for it, so I don't really see the problem.

It's also *not* just another 3T, it's a 2A-3T combo at 3:30 in her FS after two other 3-3 combos. It's unprecedented.

I disagree that it's not pushing the sport further because perhaps in the future the ISU will allow four combos instead of three. Or eight triples instead of seven. Who knows?

If you want to do more combos, learn to do -3Lo at the end. Diversify the combos. That's the point of the rules.

She definitely did more to earn higher than bronze at GPF.

I love being an Anna fan because I'm salty about her placements/scoring but then overjoyed when she only gets silver lol.
