Well some people says Gracie should be docked for not smiling during skates.

So you cannot win, you get blamed if you smile, you get blamed if you don't smile.

In my opinion, it isn't about Gracie not smiling, it's about the fact that her expressions don't reflect the emotions the program seems to call for. Her expressions reflect when she's completed all her jumps well (big triumphant smiles) or ... not. I think the comments about Evgenia are also about what emotions are appropriate for the program ... not just that she's done a great technical skate.

There's no double standard, or "you can't win either way." It's a bigger and more complex discussion than that.
