Honestly it feels a little underhanded, to put that out right in the middle of competition and try to rattle people...

Sounds like pretty standard (and tame) sporting behavior. These are professionals. If a layout rattles you it's time to see a sports psychologist.

It's brilliant. Will it work? Who can tell. He might be throwing that out there without the slightest intention of following through.

He's not responsible for the mental or emotional fragility of his competitors.
 
No freaking kidding, and the USFS are real good at that double standard.

But if Jason has lower PCS than Boyang/Nathan at the end, I'm going to scream.

I have resigned myself to Nathan having higher PCS.... Boyang would need a PB by about 5 points.
 
already ruined my fingernails during the SP. May have to move on to biting my fingers.

A smart and proactive strategy. Nathan and Rafa are going for it. They've both very cool and collected, mentally tough and no-nonsense. Nathan has the fearless mindset of a champion.


I wish I could be as confident as you. I'm just going to trust that Nathan is the cool competitor I know he is and believe he can do it. Sigh...
