2017 Four Continents Men SP

Don't get me wrong I thought it was lovely and I agree he may have channeled that sadness in the performance, but I guess I'm thinking about the fact he's injured and he's coming to grips to whether he's ending this career soon....I might be projecting based on that.

I get where you're going. His music choices this season seem very "near the end of my career"-esque.

He's lucky that he already has an "in" with choreography with the skating world. Not many skaters in their 20s can say they choreographed a program that was 2nd at Euros and helped win a bronze at the GPF.

Damn, if Brendan had landed that Axel, he might even have sneaked into the last group!

And condolences to Harry LEE and Harrison WONG, the only two skaters at the whole 4CC who will not get to skate their free programs.

Shoma Yuzuru and Nathan are pretty close so it's gonna be an exciting free skate. Tbh I think the scoring was ok at this competition!! what is happening?

Someone commented that there would be fewer comments on the thread because it was in the middle of the night. Pre competition:50 pages. During competition: 73 pages.:dbana:

Good competition. Congrats to Nathan and Shoma  Not best day for Yuzu and Patrick but well, FS will be even more interesting :dev2:

Sigh. Yuzuru's minor meltdown making it hard for me to bask in King Nathan's glory.

All things considered this was a pretty good event. Well done my boys<3

Nathan's lead to the rest of the field isn't insurmountable, so I expect that placement shifting could happen in the FS.

I never thought the day would come when I would feel sorry for Patrick Chan. A few years ago his scores made me so angry, but now I think the scores do not reflect how good he is in comparison. The new era of Men's figure skating really has begun.

So and now I hope that Shoma 'Piantao' Uno will win 4CC. Only to see how everyone goes Loco, ha!
