Wow, I really feel for Karen. I'm sure putting together a whole new LP last minute was distracting from her technical preparation for this event.

But she never should have been in that position in the first place. What is going on with her leadership? It's the Olympic season. There should have been more thought (from the start) put into her programs and packaging for this year. Now she's playing catchup.

I like Karen, but it's fairly obvious this is a self-choreographed program.

She didn’t didnt ave time to go to a professional. Just like last time she’ll probably head to Marina or another Choreographer to tweak it.

Difference between american and russian girls.
russians: make one mistake and youre out, cause there are like 10 other senior girls ready to take your spot, and then other 10 talented juniors turning senior next year
americans: its just you and other 2-3 ladies, so you will get that spot anyways.

This is it. The pressure is huge for Russians. They always have to bring their best or they're soon irrelevant.

This is reminding me of college - is it better to be off of a high grade by a whole lot of points (what could happen to Russian skaters since there's so many of them), or to be thisclose and not make it by just a few (US skaters because there's less contenders but still more than the # of spots)?

I have a lot of respect for Karen that she choreographs her own programs but she really isn't that good of a choreographer yet. She absolutely can be! Maybe taking some classes or studying different styles of dance will help her. But right now, it isn't cutting it. And I say this as somebody who adores her and finds her really impressive.

It feels like a rush job. She is super talented, but need to get 2nd 3rd opinion at this level.

Also i don't think her condition is good at this competition.
