2017 GP Skate Canada Ladies FS

Sotskova - In the immortal words of Julie Lloyd, "THAT was beautiful."

Conditioning isn't there yet, but that's how you do skating when you're tall. Using your arms and legs to create transitions and extension.

Maria does some lovely things! I will always have a soft spot. I would like her to work on her interpretation and power. She needs to find a way to translate her passion to the audience.

I know Maria's struggled with URs before, so I wonder what will happen with the tech panel here.

Damn all those half-baked tano jumps. Maria's arm position is so ugly. I wish they would ban using that feature more than twice.

I think clair de lune is too repetitive for a LP. Wish she had programs with some more oomph, stronger. I'd like to see her skate with more power. Her tano arm is so bent. She did well though, probably enough for a podium.

those tanos are annoying. they aren't like Boitano's tano... very few are, however.. it's more like, throw that arm up and spin who cares how it looks....

lovely skate from Maria, but man, its not that interesting at all.... i was lulled to sleep almost...

Slept 3 times, good nap before pogo and kaetlyn

Honestly hoping Anna goes to the olympics over Maria purely because we dont have to sit through boring programs at the most important competition

Even Stolbova/Klimov pulled off a better Clair de Lune...but I see improvements (but you still have to get rid of the tano please Maria.)
