We have to discuss this because Kaetlyn has still the combo and the solo jump in the first half plus her edge on the lutz is still a question mark, so technically the program is below Evgenia's SP.

Are you pretending that her scores should be closer to medvedeva? Based on what exactly?

I would say that in their SPs, if they skated at the same competition, Kaetlyn and Evgenia should receive about the same score in PCS. Both are great SP skaters with nice programs that play to their strengths and have excellent skating skills (Evgenia has more complicated, difficult skating, Kaetlyn's is simpler but her edges are cleaner and she's faster). Evgenia has superior transitions but I would consider Kaetlyn's SP to be more cohesively crafted and interpreted. So - about even.

Evgenia's TES would put her above Kaetlyn overall. Kaetlyn really needs to put another jumping pass in the bonus if she wants to contend for OGM. She's confident and successful enough with the SP that a change like that shouldn't rattle her too much.

This!! I feel like every time someone criticizes Evgenia on her PCS the fan base takes this as a criticism on her as a whole. Without a doubt she's the best competitor there is currently, but her technical content shouldn't be so overly reflected in her PCS.

In transitions she is better than anyone else in ladies, i've yet to find someone else at the same level on that aspect: maybe Zagitova especially with that crazy entrance to the 2A, but then she rushed into everything else, so her components shouldn't be as high as Evgenia.

The rest is good, not the best in the world i'd give you that but as we said many times, PCS are often pushed by one single element (just like Ashley's skating skills aren't great but she is a performer, that's why her components are high)

Honestly, another jumping pass in the bonus won't make much of a difference. A 3Z in the second half is worth just 0.6 extra (and a little higher with +GOE). Kaetlyn needs to increase the GOE of her jumps with better transitions in and out of them. Adding tanos is desperate, but that could help too (e.g. on her 2A).

Kaetlyn needs to just do her thing, and hope that Medvedeva has a really off day, and the judges have no choice but to put Osmond first or face a controversy. As long as Kaetlyn is skating at HER best, that's the most important thing.

The top three skaters were very impressive and they skated their short programs clean. Anna Pogorilaya seems to be back in shape and Maria Sotskova would end up winning a bronze mental. Marin Honda took the risk by going for the triple-triple combination and fell after the second jump. I think the last-minute change was a gamble.

That's what I am saying. If you want to beat THE HER, you need to beat her at her own game. Try do what she does and we will see who deserves what score. I really wish if not Osmond but somebody not named Zagitova would try it. And let the best one win.

Except Evgenia has already received 80.85 at the World team Trophy (which is still her PB) and then 80 earlier this season at the Ondrej Nepela.

But let's pretend that the entire world is the home country of Evgenia.

That was wildly inflated too. Are you kiddin? lol... Many people had their best score ever in those 'commercial' incentivised events.
Tell that to the ISU, WC judges panels been made to score like European Championship for the past 5 years in a row.

Anyways this is about Kaetlyn, she would have been overscored 4 years ago, but by today's standard it is conservative marking consider it is her home games. The only thing I might nitpick is she does not do 3lz3t and it is a repeat program. Everything else was spot on.

This is a learning experience for Marin, may be nerves got to her. She is an extremely talented and lovely skater, just need opportunities and experience to prove herself in time. For now Wakaba is ahead.

Australian and Canada are both part of the Commonwealth of Nations. I mean it's not THAT huge of a stretch that the Australian judge could be from Canada originally.
