Perfectly for protocols, yas. Still annoyed by Eunsoo's PCS and even more by Marin's. Suprised that Kaori got PCS like that but I havent seen performance so I cant say anything. Japanese ladies did it and I'm so happy for Eunsoo <3

Sorry
Polina's 3Lz was not UR (maybe slightly under, but not more than 1/4), same with 3L
3T was UR and should be called

instead
Polina gets 3!!! UR on Lz, L, and T
I have never been as mad about judging as I am now...

PS. Oh, btw, Yuna did not received a single UR. But am I the only one who sees that her jumps were underrotated? (especially if they call Polina's jumps UR)

I thought Shiraiwa's jumps were underrotated and would be called too. Especially given Polina, yes.

I must say it didn't look so visibly underrotated to me when i watched, but knowing Amano was judging, and she didn't skate with best speed (in my opinion) like in some other competitions, i expected that. Still, comparing to the field, she had absolutely best jumps while she was in the air...

Guys, I don't know why you're going on about Amano, when Ms. Myriam LORIOL-OBERWILER is the technical specialist. Amano is the assistant technical specialist.

I think Kaori may be one of those skaters whose insanely good SS may overshadow and affect all her other PCS -like it or not. I watched her program again and I didn't pay much attention to anything other than her feet because man, those edges and speed are incredible. Still unrefined and needs lots of dance training, but I look at her feet and the height of her jumps and am happy.

-Also very little PR/UR for her.

It seems that quantity is a factor. Zagitova is doing tons of unrefined movements. Quality doesn't seem to be that important.

quantity over quality has been the name of the game for a while now. And its for both men and women. It definitely lifted up the sport but the beauty really is suffering.

But... if you are STRICT on underrotations, be string to EVERYONE. Not one particular skater who is one of the strongest. Be FAIR.
I would have agreed on Polina's URs (well, I think not on Lz) if others were judged in the same manner...

Difficulty and variety are also important. And Zagitova's movements could be better, but they are hardly low quality.

Ok, then.
What about Yuna's 3Lz (clearly underrotated in slow-mo), 3Lo not more rotated than Polina...
I don't think that Yuna's 3Lz is underrotated in slow-mo. No. The angle on Polina's 3Lz isn't good so I can't tell but she clearly doesn't get the best take-off for the 3T. The 3Lo is under. I hope that her team will deal with it as it is and make the right decisions. She needs a decent jump coach, someone who knows what to do with her height and power. Ok, before that let's see how the FS goes, maybe she just had a bad day.

If you want to be super-strict on calling jumps, more power to you.

One caveat - be super-strict for everyone. No picking and choosing. And how come that is so, so rare :rolleye:

I am looking at slo-mo replays of Tsurskaya... 3L, yeah I think that's UR... but 3Lz and 3T?! I'm not seeing it? No big pre-rotation either?

I think Kaori deserved every single point she got, she was just awesome.

Still can't get how can Marin not be full 2 pts ahead of Alina in PCS, someone will post isu criterias again. I am perfectly aware what is written there, moreover I don't disagree that Zagitova has difficult transitions and one foot multi directional skating but there should be something about quality of execution too, Boyang gets dumped this year in PCS because he does them quite a lot but with poor quality .. but I guess you should be Russian to score like this :palmf:

Edit : I watched Polina T's SP again I agree about lo and toe but calling lz is very questionable.

Polina still has the FS to redeem her self. And better get the message now before she prepares for senior next season. One thing I'm sure is that her type of program will be more appreciated once she turned senior. Just quit getting injured!
