I frankly think Karen deserves higher PCS. Happy for her at any rate.

Maybe but then Osmond deserved more. the problem was Carolina - ugh. They gifted her for showing upon the ice. When Caro is flat with that short program it really is not pretty.

Karen really scored well in SP, Mariah not too shabby either. Only Ashley left from Americans.

It was. Both she and Wakaba should have been ahead of Caro.

And while I really like Karen, her being around 4 points ahead of those 2 also makes little sense to me (even if they give her the combo). But after Mariah was 2 points ahead of Laurine in PCS in the SP, which is also completely unjustified to me, I expected that. It's a shame, because there is so much great skating here (Caro + Karen included).

You are right. No one should risk worse injuries by skating while injured.
Though there was one lady skater who kept her injury secret from her Federation and skated badly and later on her team was fined a large amount of money.
