2018 Europeans Short Dance

The Hungarian team had the best skating I've seen thus far. Lovely moments in the slow section

Authentic Argentine Tango is the most wonderful dance in the world. The problem with it is that everyone knows and goes for ballroom tango - which is sharp head movements, open positions, stiffness and fishnets. I am hoping the Gadbois teams might bring something innovative and give us watchable tangos next year.

Let's see. My fear is that it will end up like the Paso SD where everyone started to look the same.

In 2006-07 the only ODs I liked were Denkova/Staviski's street-style tango because they were hot and Virtue/Moir's ballroom because they were subtle and nuanced. I still have nightmares of Belbin/Agosto's over-exaggerated ballroom tango.

Wonderful stuff from the Hungarians.

Sadly they were severely underscored at Nebelhorn, meaning no Olympics for them.

I have a small dream to steal Anna for Poland and make her skate with Maksim Spodiriev xD
But back to reality
Anna and Adam were so above the field we saw

glad to see someone sharing my sentiments, Bulgarians were pure class in that OD, innovative, original and into the music/character, with skill to back it all up, Virtue/Moir gave a totally new outlook and quality over how the OD could feel like, be inside of convention, but treated with such intricate hand and attention to detail of every movement and gesture...I was also all over Delobel/Schoenfelder OD in that season:)

well, regarding next season, I just hope Gilles/Poirier will stay and bring another original one on the table;)

Ricky Martin :dance3:

'La Bomba' for every party!!!:cheer:

Some rough moments for the Armenian team but she was working hard to sell which I appreciated. Kudos to them for using La Bomba, which I haven't heard in over a decade, so they had me feeling nostalgic

Marie-France, ready to get her frilly dress on and do the samba/rhumba for herself:love::laugh:, still has moves by the boards;)

You said this and my random association with over the top dancing is Krylova's Carmen . I hope he doesn't come up with anything too crazy for her teams next year

Belarus is in

51.77 of the Armenians is the new cut off score

After Mansourova/Ceska probably everything will be settled. Unless they totally lose an element, those in the last 3 groups should get a 52 score.
