I think Nathan could benefit a lot from the way things turned out in the end. The key is to turn this into a learning experience and improve the artistry (he made progress, but he can push iti further), work on comitting to a jump layout (it can be flexible, but not that flexibile as I think that hurt him too, jumping something else at every competition) and become a great skater. Winning gold when he is still in a "semi-raw" state could have come with lots of criticism.
Take the awful SP, Nathan, and the "what if" and turn yourself in the great skater your potential lets us think you could be. And tell that vulture called US media to back off and let athlets have privacy. The US public is not that dumb to shove in his face teary stories every 5 seconds, I have faith in them as I have faith in Nathan.
I love this kid, I hope he comes out of this and we see him skate like fire in 2022.

It didn't really feel 'Olympics' and no one fully delivered which was disappointing. But I'm SO happy for Yuzuru for his Gold medal (well-deserved, not perfect skate but overall he was for sure the best and all of that after horrible injury) and Nathan for that comeback (after awful SP and the pressure he was under in). Congrats to Shoma and Javier for medals and Vincent and Boyang for good fights too.
