2018 Olympic Figure Skating Pairs FS

Canada is on fire tonight!! That's probably the best I've seen that program skated. So proud of S/B :yahoo:

Julianne and Charlie just mesh well together.

I really do like them. :luv17:

They're such a perky pair- I wish they had chosen Oly programs to show that off. My friend really nailed it when she called Julienne a cheerleader :hap10:

Solid green lights! :peace:

Oh good, I'm fashion blind, LOL.

Also your avatar is glorious! (I'm still very bummed about the disappearance of the Pooh tissue box, I love that thing! I even followed it on Instagram )
Well it didn't disappear forever - he just can't use it for the Olympics because its considered advertisement or something

It was so beautiful!!! Oh geez, I forgot how much I love this pair until now. They can be proud as anything with that performance, it was so great! No hint of Olympic nerves there at all.

Pretty clean!!!

So happy to see these two get their old form back. Their music choices have become so mature now; they're aren't the cute little number 3 Canadian team anymore. I wasn't a big fan previously but they've become more my sort and I'd say they're the real deal as the future with D/R finishing up.

Oh really? Well I guess I can accept it then. And a cake tissue box cover is indeed very yummy looking at least!

Time to throw food plushies!

Yup I've watched him in interviews saying he's attached to that one, but it's not like he's a Pooh collector. Meanwhile he's stormed by Pooh bear plushies at all comps and don't know what to do with them

US needs to have pairs that are pierce and competitive! Not just we're happy we made it to the Olympics. Still love Chis & Alexa though. Kudos on the quad twist!!!

But I think it's because PAIRS is the hardest discipline in figure skating and not too many are willing to be thrown by a partner and expect to land it every time. It requires a strong man to lift the partner and maintain balance while gliding on the ice. No wonder most of these men can't do triple jumps. It's RARE, but Russian men usually dominates it.

I think the Chinese are pretty dominate too. Big China never misses jumps ;) It is a difficult discipline. I think the issue is that very few pairs in the US start young. They become pairs skaters after they don't have the jumping ability to make it in singles. But, there are some teams that have better jumping ability than Alexa and Chris. I am not sure Alex and Chris will be the US #1 next year. Unless, Chris improves his jumping.

Seguin / Bilodeau (CAN)

Alright triple twist to start. Solid sbs 3T+2T. Good ice coverage on the first lift, a bit of a balance check in the first part. Solid sbs 3S and a very strong throw 3Lz. Good death spiral, but a bit off in the sbs spin on the change of foot. Good axel lasso lift with smooth position changes. A bit tilted on the throw 3Lo, but Seguin landed it cleanly anyway. Very fine reverse rotational lift with a carry and a decent combo spin in speed and position.

They are always pleasant and simple, a homely style that's very comforting to watch. When they are at their peak, I just feel very warm and secure in their perfomance. Most of their elements will receive somewhere in the +1/+2 range, apart from that sbs spin.
