Proof positive that Michelle losing in 1998 made me stronger: S/H were my #1 favorites at the Olympics (yes, more than Nathan) and I'm already ok. I didn't rewatch 1998 for over 15 years

First time I have cried so many tears of joy since watching Michelle. Aliona touches my heart so deeply!!!

Sui and Han are understandably disappointed but Oly silver is a great achievement and they're young and will be back.

Now Meagan and Bruno and Alijona and her hubby can start having babies after they retire (if that’s their wish, of course). Ooooh, can you imagine, Meagan Jr vs. Aliona Jr, duking it out at the 2038 olympics?

Silver medalists are always sadder than bronze, since psychologically they're comparing themselves to the gold, while the bronze could look at the rest of the medal-less field and be happy

I'm really sad that Sui/Han didn't win gold, but I'm really happy for Aljona. Her and Massot's freeskate was simply superb, especially after their SP. S/H were so close though..

Happy for Alyon, I teared after her performance. But its disgusting to read from some who were like good guys on the podium.Really shows your face here, and its not a nice picture to look at. Show some empathy at least

I never dared to dream that this would be what would happen but also feel bad for the Russians. Evgenia looked so devastated. But look at D/R go. They won it and they didn't give up and I didn't think this could happen even after she landed it. Devastated for S/H but Aliona and Bruno. Again, couldn't imagine after yesterday. They were so cute together. I just the tears.

I know Sui/han must be disappointed to win silver but there's plenty of proof around them that its absolutely within reach, even if they don't get it the first time. And now they'll go on a rampage to wn all the world titles

I'm salty though. 0.43 difference! They could have won despite the single toe... if they didn't flubbed the spin (level 2) and lift (level 3). If only they get 0.44 more points in PCS from the Short Program. :/

That said, no way the judges would have given it to them even if they did level 4 spin and lift. No way. It just wouldn't be right.

I'm so emotional and glad I watched it screaming with my friends. Aliona and Bruno were just STUNNING and I am so happy for them though absolutely devastated for SuiHan.:sad21:

You're not the only one. When she announced her comeback there were so many jokes thrown around. But the saying goes "if you were able to know what an emperor/ess is thinking, you'd be one yourself."

S/M created an Olympic moment tonight that will forever be remembered (by me at least). I will go as far as to say it is the best winning OGM FS since Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze's FS in 2002 Salt Lake City.
