the only uplifting thing so far is the German Eurosport commentator who forgot his microphone was on when he let out a looooouud yawn during break. That was hilarious. Apart from that the skates are(apart from a few exceptions) disappointing...

I'm surprised all those in the stadium haven't let out a collective yawn .

She was apparently dealing with injury this season which is why she didn't do qualifying comps

What a shame. I was hoping that wasn't it, but suspected when I didn't see her anywhere. She seems to really love skating so I was hoping she hadn't quit. Hope she is injury free from here on out so we can all enjoy watching her again.

But Guarise was a World champion in pairs roller skating, in 2008

Also (IIRC) he only started to figure skate AFTER he had quit roller skating and moved to Milan to model, and at that point he was already 19-20 yrs old or so. So he was basically an adult skater who then went on to skate in Olys in Sochi after only few years of on-ice experience. Respect!

This is their best short program so there has been less hate
