I have mixed feelings about Alina and her program. On one hand, she is brilliant with the structure of the program and using the scoring system against itself. On the other hand, I agree completely with what Ashley tweeted:

"Ok. I respect the competitive approach. But no cannot do this set up. It's not a program. She killed time in the beginning and then just jumped the second half. It's not a performance. I understand that this is what the system allows but it's not all figure skating is about"

I know people always like the mature programs better, but I truly enjoy programs that are upbeat and uplifting which is why I love Alina's long program and I still love Tara's 1998 programs to this day.

I have a question here.
This scoring really looked like they were pushing USA up as much as possible.
Caro got some low PCs (i mean, we have seen her spending half of the FS on her behind and still getting 75+, this could be 10 across the boards).
Tons of tech calls except for Mirai - yeah she skated well, but considering how judges called everybody else, i wonder if she didnt deserve a carrot or two.

Is this just me?

Italy's team have fight and lose, but have tried to take the medal, and i'm happy for that :agree2:

Rizzo and Marchei/Hotarek did very good. Caro only on the SP, but i still hoping for the individual bronze, maybe even more now.

Now i just want to be pleased by the free dance :agree2:

I actually have to disagree with Ashley's comments and I usually hate backloaded programs. But I do not get bored at all with the program and the beginning keeps me interested. For me, it's as good as a backloaded program can be.
