I think Worlds 2012 was also very much criticised for low standard, considering it was not an Olympics year and yet the standard was very low.

No they didn't. They barely kept it, but still kept it. 5+8 just made it.

Thankfully , justice has been served on the podium. The three best skates that I saw , [didn't see the earlier groups.] have taken the medals. Osmond and Higuchi were superb , and I love the way Osmond has come all the way back from that awful injury.

Kostner? Well , what else did we really expect but a classic Kostner implosion. I find it hard to believe that she's finished as high as fourth. Same goes for Zagitova in fifth.

I guess this is karma for people making fun Stanislava Konstantinova...

How is this karma? This is EXACTLY why it was the wrong decision to send her. If Tsurskaya was there perhaps she could have backed them up, had a nice skate, placed higher than Sotskova to relieve some pressure off Zagitova.

Imagine if they had lost the third spot here? All because they were so intent on politicking for Konstantinova even though she has no merits to justify it.
