2018 Worlds Ladies FS

Actually , just watching that podium made me happy. Three skaters who all really deserve their place , and who have all conducted themselves really well whenever I've seen them through this long , pressure cooker season.

I still can't believe it.
Wakaba had the skate of the night! It was epic and I was in tears at the end. Thank you Wakaba and Satoko.

I was also so shocked about Alina that even now it doesn't seem real. It must be a lack of training...the media circus can sap energy from even the strongest person. We'll see her back in form next season. Don't be too down about it Alina. :ghug:

What a memorable Ladies Final! Who would ever have thought Alina would falter? Who thought a critical tech spec would play havoc with several skaters scores-although seemingly consistently-but I'll let that determination go to the super tech specialists on the blog. Who thought Bradie Tennel would be fourth? Who thought Mirai would not even try her 3A? Who thought Wakaba would pull up to Silver! Let the Sky Fall! And Satoko in third- with those little jumps and a fall, but lots of grace. Wow!

The four years of revenge tour has just kicked of in Milan!! Go Wakababy go !!!

Did Yulia commentate this event? I’m curious if the fangirling of Wakaba continues ;)

Now that’s a World Champion...hip hip hooray..for Kaetlyn. The cream always rises to the top...Congratulations Katelyn....I would have loved to have seen the faces of some people on this forum today when Katelyn won the Gold. It would have been priceless...

She should have had medals like this before, if not for the out of control inflation of PCS scores to accomodate certain skaters. They wanted to do it today but they couldn't. Justice finally prevails.

I do agree. She should have been in that convo for gold at the olympics but it was really already decided between the 2 Russian girls.

To me Osmond winning is kind of like Buttle's win 10 years ago - not expected, but without question the best 2 overall programs, no questions asked. She got the highest PCS and technical. She beat out the technical masters as well as the 'artiste's. Ie, not in doubt at all.

Woohoo Canada!

They beat themselves not osmond.

I'm still in shock after Alina's skate. Poor girl. The nerves got to her.
But GO Osmond. She's my other favourite besides Alina and FINALLY she did it. I think she was even better here than at the Olympics.
And from now on I have a 3rd favourite - Wakaba. I was crying after her skate.
What an unexpected night. Russia only hangs on to keep their 3 spots. Thank God they did it.
Phew. I'm exhausted...
