I was trying to remember when Karen won. I knew it was here but I thought it was '72 but that didn't make sense. That was Peggy.

72 was Trixi Schuba. Peggy retired after 68. Gabby Seifert won in 69, I think, and Trixie the rest of that Olympic cycle. Gabby is Fra Mueller's (coach of Kat Witt) daughter.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. And I think the backlash that Alina won the Olympics instead of the one everyone wanted it for, must've hurt Alina. I always thought she looked very mature out there, but tonight she looked the 15 years she is.
