2018 Worlds Ladies FS

There is no point to bring a skater that was injured, Evgenia, in to the conversation.

Alina, Carolina and the others will regroup.

Maybe Alina should have skipped, she is so young, after you accomplish something as big as Olympic gold, you need energy to regroup

Now there is a chance to somebody who has scores enough but have not got a spot to represent home country, move to Belgium.

Well, its time to retire myself  I hope you are all prepared for more shocks tomorrow. Im seeing Zhou and Kolyada as sure medallists, just to warn you :dance2: :dance2: :dance2:

I scored Osmond at 135 and Wakaba at 139, suspicious about Wakaba only getting a Level 3 footwork call though, I will need to look at that. Would be another 1 point for her if it's Level 4.

I am curious to see your breakdown. But I kind of see Wakaba ahead of Kaetlyn in the FP. How about SP? do your score differ from Judge's ( Kaetlyn 72 vs. Wakaba 65)? Looking back Kaetlyn was the 4th and Wakaba 8th in the sp.

But the poor SP result might have fired up Wakaba even more to skate magically today. Watching Kaetlyn, managing two cleanish programs at the post olympics WC is very admirable thing and it worked to her advantage to win the gold medal.

I just want to say I'm endlessly watching Loena's free on repeat. She's so amazing. I hope the future still has much for her.

Maybe heavy pressure from her federation to skate for the 3 spots after Med withdrew?

Huh? Her layout was the same. She just wasn't able to execute it properly. Should have done the Loop combo first but failed, tried to do it again, failed again.

Thanks. I think I got confused with Trusova's neatly packaged combos of 2 triples in each of the three combos.

I will forever be confused how Satoko got only 2 unders and one of them wasn't even that second lutz! I love her and all but fair is fair.

Poor Zagitova, she’s a kid after all :( I hope she can rest the way she deserves

Arrives to the party after it's finished, again... Well done Kaetlyn, wear that world championship medal with pride! Glad to see Wakaba get her redemption with silver and great to see Satoko on the world podium again tho no where near her best at the Olympics last month. EEEEK at Alina!!! Hope she doesn't beat herself up too much and she's still very young and there's always next year to get her elusive senior world championship. Damn Caro, after the SP that was truly a masterpiece and one of the best performances from anyone, such a shame the momentum didn't carry on into the FS!

But once again, congrats for Kaetlyn

Just watched Wakaba: that was everything!! The power, intensity, the jumps, edges, :yahoo: What a moment for her!

These programs of Loena are mindblowing. They stay with you. Just compare that to Maria Sotskova's snoozefest. I will never understand Clair de Lune and a grey costume. Talk about forgettable.

I think also, this was probably her best shot of becoming World Champion and she knew it, especially with Med gone. She saw how quickly Med got dethroned by her over the course of just one season, and next season with Trusova in seniors (with a 10+ point TES lead btw) it is perhaps unlikely she'll have a chance at World Championship gold. Hopefully she'll regroup and come back next year and win at least a medal.

Watching Alina's performance, it did not seem that bad. Her falls loloked quite 'graceful'. The tutu kind of cushioned her fall.
