2019 Junior Worlds Ladies Short Program

Really? But she's been doing 3Lz-3Lo left and right in practice, hasn't she?
According to my friend who attended practice (I didn't go to practices but I'm watching live right now), she was really struggling with the lz-lo combo in practice this morning. She only did 3lz-3t in warmup.

OK, Yuna has some decent chance.

Yuna is lovely but she tends to UR a lot, sadly. But this was a great SP from her. I just hope all the ladies skate to their potential tomorrow. I love the Russian ladies so I would have nothing against a sweep. (I'd welcome it, in fact) But I'd love it even more if there was a tight competition for the medals.

What a contrast in the last 2 performances!

Anna S - everything was there, but she was just going through the motions.

Yuna S - From the first second, she felt everything, and she brought it! Loved loved loved that performance.

Comparing to other skaters, some of her positions in spins are clearly different, which is a definition of uniqness, you like it or not.
She wasn't first with interesting positions today. And even if her positions are unique it's not enough to get better GOE then others. It's against the rules

Oh, really? I watched her practice videos yesterday and there were several 3Lz-3Lo. I don't believe she's taken it out of her SP because that doesn't seem like something Sasha would do but I guess we'll see soon. It will certainly be interesting to see what she's going for!
