The difference separating them all is even less than one quad, one miss step on a triple or even a spin or footwork could be the difference between a medal and 10th places

There are no good nude gloves. They're all heinous. Grassl's are made so much worse by the simplicity of the rest of his costume. Simple white draped top. Fitted black trousers. And the nude gloves are where you want to break out the rhinestones? Child please.

Ted Barton, absent from the stream but present in my heart: "Daniel Grassl has grown a lot as a skater even just over the course of this season. Every time he goes out on the ice, he gets more confident, more graceful, more at ease with his elements and performance. What a pleasure it is to watch him develop, and to see how pleased he was with his skate.

He had a little loss of control on the landing of his 3A, he may have overrotated it. That's okay, not too much to worry about- his other jumps were well controlled and had nice flow. He had nice, elegant lines throughout his choreography, creating a beautiful feeling. Well done Daniel, he can be proud."
