TBH I wondered...because Dai is so popular and so loved. I was thinking this morning I've never heard anyone say a negative thing about him! Which seems so unusual to me and for skaters in general!

Sorry, @anonymoose_au. I decided to use replying to your post as a challenge to see if I could actually write a short post!

Now for what I wanted to say.

I think Misato and Tim are out of reach of the other two partnerships. I think Kana and Dai have to worry more about Rikako and Oliver behind them. But, I do think the newbie partnership will hold onto second position.

But, I'm biased, because I love both Kana and Dai.

I find the Oliver Zhang/Cho Eichu situation really interesting, he's Canadian although with Chinese parents so in theory he's supposed to go the Tim Koleto route and have Oliver Zhang written in katakana. But they got his Chinese name (Zhang Ruizhong in Mandarin) and read the Chinese characters in the Japanese way (Cho Eichu)

but there's also tech, Dai is great but i don't think he can nail it in such short time, not at the level of more experienced teams lime Komatsubara Koleto, also 6 points gap in ice dance is huge
