That’s it, Yablokov saying that Erokhov wouldn’t know it yet, but he is rooting for him in K&C, does it. I am attached. I am trying so hard to not get attached, but his programs are the best too imo.
AWWW....that's really sweet of him. I, for one, am happy that Erokhov is finding his way again. He was badly hurt a few years ago so I didn't expect to see him in competition ever again. I actually thought he retired until he popped up again last year.

Good luck with resisting. I once said the exact same thing after Daisuke Takahashi broke my heart for the 100th time. For years, I watched skaters dispassionately until I saw Kolyada for the first time with his bowl haircut and toothy grin, skating to Nightmare Before Christmas. But other than him (and Rika Kihira on the ladies side) I've been successful with not being too keen on any another skater.

Also, found this gem on Twitter. Erokhov’s costuming from 2018, 2020 and 2021. It must be his fav shirt!

Well at least he doesn't seem to have grown much between seasons. Because if so that would have meant he literally had the exact same shirt made in a bigger size so he can wear it!

And good news! Despite being in the 3 day quarantine Team Russia has been given their own practice time at Skate Canada: https://twitter.com/olyphil/status/1453831707694673925

Will Zhenya S challenge the girls to a quad-off (does Liza have her quad still, I wonder 🤔)? To be a fly on the wall

Erokhov's wardrobe :ROFLMAO: (sorry - it is a very nice shirt, hopefully it brings him luck.)

Erokhov is out there all by himself trying to save the environment. ;)
While Petr Gumennik is constantly leaving the light on...

I suspect Alexei's eco-friendliness extends to his SP costume too... 🧐
Yablokov FP Rostelecom 2020
Erokhov SP CoR Stage 5 2020
Hypothesised reconstruction of events: Over summer 2020, Ilya outgrew his old Notre Dame FP lacey-black sweater costume from Season 2019/20 and replaced it with a new flappy-mesh-arm black sweater for 2020/21. He changed programmes just after Rostelecom, so got yet another costume, touches-of-red black sweater (which he is still wearing for his FP 2021/22), so Alexei, who had been wearing actual black sweater practice gear at comps until then, got Ilya's Sweater #2 just in time to wear at CoR 5 (and is still using it for SP 2021/22).

Reduce, reuse, recycle! 😁💪

Something light-hearted for this Monday: Who did it better?

Don Quixote: Alina Zagitova or Roman Savosin?
Sex Bomb: Evgeni Plushenko or Nikolai Shelyakin? (wait for the costume change...)
Toxic: Liza Tuktamysheva or Petr Dubovitsky?

For context: The guys are doing a challenge of recreating famous programs. They are brilliant!
This A+ Quality! I laughed so much!

In reply - I want to see Roman doing Don Quixote for real!
I've never heard of Nikolai Shelyakin, but his costume change was gold! :laugh2: Did the camera person refuse to film the hip thrusts though :laugh2:
Never heard of Petr D either, but he got the memo for a Liza Tuk exhibition and I am here for it, love his flight attendant hat ;)

Roman does great with Alina's Don Quixote! While the other guys had funnier material to work with (they did programs that were exhibitions originally after all), I still enjoyed Roman the most. His imitation of Alina's moves was so on point! He really has an eye for choreography and his movements are very clean, at times almost like a dancer. I wonder how much time the guys gave themselves to practise their programs?
Btw, I've never heard of Nikolai or Petr either before their appearances on the Skating Skills channel. Allskaters.info tells me they are mostly competing on the regional Moscow level, Nikolai for Moskvich and Petr for Sambo-70 (Tchaikovsky).
